In 2008, (October 8 - 12),
International Institute of Deaf Services (IIDS) will host IMPARTATION
’08. Men and women from all over the United States will
gather together in Montgomery, Alabama.
IMPARTATION is more than a conference it is an Encounter with
God. Most conferences focus on skills and not on ministering
to the individual’s spiritual life. Usually only 45 –90
minutes are given to a skill over a two-day period. That is
very little time in light of the fact that interpreters must
communicate that, which deals with the soul. Interpreters are
not trained in the Word of God yet have the responsibility to
interpret His precious Word.
Spiritual training for the deaf is rarely heard off. When you
add to the fact that the deaf rarely have the opportunity to
receive it first hand in their language, the door for reaching
and training the deaf and those who work with the deaf is open.
IIDS a 501©3 organization is calling for men and women
of God who would invest into the lives of these precious people
who hunger for the Word of God and training.

IIDS expects to attract approximately 200 participants’
deaf and hearing. Interpreters from across the United States
come to IMPARTATION to participate in quality in-service training
with nationally recognized leaders in the field of sign language
interpretation. Interpreters across the country are facing increasing
certification and educational requirements, including requirements
for continuing education. IIDS is one, of a few, national conferences
that is available for religious interpreters. It is an opportunity
for interpreters to learn from a broad cross-section of the
leading trainers in the field. We invite you to be part of this
