Need to improve your voicing skills? The ability to see the layout of a message will enable you to interpret with more accuracy and clarity. In this workshop discourse will be defined and analyzed following the ten step process develop by leading interpreter educators. Participants will analyze a source ASL message for meaning, enabling them to prepare a target message in which the form is appropriate and the meaning is retained. This process has been shown to prepare interpreters to really attend to a source message, concentrate on meaning, and consider the component parts in depth in order to generate an accurate and clear interpretation.
